Background Checks
All background checks expire every July 31st need to be renewed every year prior to school starting in August.
For the safety of our students, Living Word Academy enforces a security process in which any person 18 years or older, such as a parent, family member or friend, will need a current Local Background Check in the student’s file in order to participate in school activities that require contact with other students, such as:
- Child’s Birthday at School
- Chaperone at Filed Trips
- Field Day
- Class Parties
- Chapel Events
- Volunteering
Background Checks must be renewed every school year in August. A prior criminal record may or may not result in your disqualification for participating; however, failure to disclose your record WILL disqualify you from volunteering and/or participating in student related activities.
